From a hardware perspective, the ESPixelStick is a pixel driver motherboard for the ESP8266 ESP-01 WiFi module. The controller itself fits in 1 thin wall PVC to enable embedding with the fixture its controlling. Throughout testing we’ve used Sanyo Eneloop and Amazon rechargeable to great success, never requiring more than one set for a long night’s shooting. A cost effective solution for driving a universe of pixels via E1.31 over WiFi. The handle is perpendicular and has a secondary aluminum sleeve, allowing pixelstick to spin freely. The images themselves can be from 1 to 198 pixels tall and many thousands of pixels wide.
